6/ There is a large lake at Grindelwald where you can hire paddle boats and kayaks..
7/ Beyond the square is this garden restaurant that looks out onto the lake.
8/ Beyond the shop precinct is a large Swiss style gated estate.
9/ The resort has a large number of self contained cabins for hire.
10/ The hotel has large suites with balconies.
11/ This building houses an indoor heated swimming pool.
12/ The resort has a lovely fountain to decorate the gardens.
13/ This strange totempole, log garden may be of mystical significance.
14/ On the morning of 5 August 2020 snow fell in Launceston. Snow last fell in Launceston in 1971. I decided to go to Grindelwald to see what this Swiss village would look like covered in snow.
15/ The lawns near the children's ship and the swimming pool were covered in snow.
16/ This image looks across the lake towards the estate. By 10 am the snow was starting to melt.
